Snap Conversions...

These are a few of the recent conversions I have done to give new life to some tired velcro diapers with some fun and very functional snaps! These are all one size pocket diapers.

This one is a Grasshopper BumGenius with a single row of Periwinkle colored snaps.

This is a white DriStuff with fun red and black snaps.

This black Happy Heiny has a 3rd snap added on each wing to eliminate wing droop.

I folded in the side of this cow print Happy Heiny to shorten up the wings and help with wing droop.

  1. The snaps look great! Do you find that the seam lines from the aplix on the HH's is really bad? Do you think it may potentially cause leakage problems (due to the holes from where the seam was)?

  2. Thanks for the compliment!

Some of the seam lines are worst than others. It seems that each batch of diapers is sewn slightly different and sometimes the HH can be very difficult to take the velcro off.
But it does not cause any problems with leaking. I reinforce the area behind the snaps with an addition piece of PUL and it kind of acts as a 'seal' for the tiny holes left behind by removing the stitches.

The HH above are from our own stash of diapers and I have been using these for a year now with no problems with leaking through the seam line. :)
